I have a serious passion for innovation leading to new business. My analytical skills allow me to reduce complexity to convey clear messages and produce executable roadmaps to plan future activities.

For companies I am the linking pin between the business and technology departments, as I speak those languages very well. My high energy level, contagious enthusiasm work well to motivate the people around me. This allows me to lead teams of professionals with open minds and commitment for a cause.

I have developed different frameworks, tools and methods to support multidisciplinary teams in the process from ideas to added value. As a strategy consultant I have successfully applied these frameworks and tools in research programs, education, government, start-ups and large corporations.

CHARGED is a company dedicated to creating valuable energy storage solutions. We develop, test, prototype and produce li-ion battery packs ranging from 0,5 kWh to 20 kWh and 0,5 Amp to 400 Amps. We also help businesses with their battry challenges, ranging from consultancy to developing and producing test equipment for battery packs.

I am the co-founder of Charged where I am responsible for generating ideas, raising money to develop them and grow them into a healthy product portfolio.

Venture Developer | RWE/innogy

The goal of the innogy innovation hub is to create new revenue streams to secure the future of RWE/innogy.

In the position of Venture Developer, I scouted startups and collaborated with them as an entrepreneur in residence to prepare investment proposals for the investment board. Besides this main task, I also created and promoted the use of standard tooling and methods for all Venture Developers to use.

I was one of the co-creators of the innovation hub´s vision on bigdata and privacy opportunity spaces. This vision was used to scout startups and offer them a compelling story to work with our team.

Strategy consultant | IBM

November 2006 - April 2016

The IBM consulting practice is an important team of consultants that help c-level executives improve business performance with sound executable strategies. Often these engagements lead to follow-on business for the rest of the IBM corporation.

As a managing consultant, I helped our clients define and implement their strategy on technology to strengthen the business. For 4 years I participated in the research consortium ´Flood Control 2015´. In that period, I co-founded the Digital Delta. This is now a government owned initiative to significantly improve Water Management in The Netherlands.

Engineer | Yacht Group

September 1999 - September 2004

At Yacht I´ve been involved in several projects for clients such as Unilever, Fontijne Grotnes and IHC Holland. My involvement in these projects varied from writing technical specifications, to concept design, and design optimization. I developed a framework for knowledge assessment of Yacht employees. Also, I was responsible for developing the method to gather intelligence for long-term marketing plans. This method was adopted nationwide in Yacht.

December 1997 - August 1999

I was responsible for growing the Virtual Reality and 3D business of TLM. In 18 months I grew the team from 1 to 5 FTE with a good reputation in the 3D visualization of planned real-estate, including the expansion of the museum Boymans van Beuningen (Rotterdam).
